Merlin was born in a litter of 3 red-white dogs, and 3 tricolour bitches.
Heather took him up to Singleton with her for showing as a
possible "heir apparent" to Ferris.
Merlin's favourite position when at a dog show is upside down
in someone's arms. Apparently its much easier to view the world in this position!!

2009 Merlin finished the year as the Dogs on Line
Basenji Best of Breed winner.
In the Rising Star Competition for 2009,
Merlin was No. 1 Basenji,
No 2 National and New South Wales Hound,
and No 8 All Breeds.
Congratulations Merlin and Heather!!
On the 13th February 2010 in the worst "Basenji" weather imaginable
Merlin won
Runner Up Best in Show.
On the 23rd March 2010, Merlin won the last points required to give him his
AUSTRALIAN GRAND CHAMPION
He became our 7th homebred Grand Champion.
