This was, without a doubt, Mary's best litter.
Ferris (Ferret to me) was the proverbial "ugly duckling",who transformed himself as he got older.
Called Ferret by me, because of both his speckledy pink/black nose,
and his habit of smiling with his ears laid back when he was embarrassed!!
But I watched him gaiting effortlessly around the yard as a puppy- and said that's my dog!!!
Shown infrequently by me as a pup, Heather demanded that he continue his show career with her.
He has blossomed into a totally sound, understated show dog-
one I consider to be the soundest in mind, body and health that I have bred.
A laid back easygoing temperament, non-aggressive, and a joy to live with.
Ferris is VERY well-known around the show ring for his
ADDICTION
to perfumes and after shave
and his placid nature.
He is a fantastic ambassador for the Basenji breed,
and gets on well with ALL other dogs.
